SOUL SEED GATHERING CH 2 // COLOMBIA
S O U L S E E D G A T H E R I N G “We are a traveling gathering for women around the world, exploring the female side of culture and indigenous wisdoms.” This year, over 30 women came together at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains, alongside Ma Ocean in heart of Colombia to deep dive into the Sacred Feminine. Here we had the great honor of sitting with and learning from the Kogi & Wayuu women, who through their presence and ancient weaving practices shared their deep philosophies on life with us. Throughout the gathering many powerful women shared their gifts with the collective, including daily Wisdom talks, live musical performances, yoga, dance, cacao ceremonies, mandala making, evening circles, workshops, womb clay making, Colombian Amazonian earring beading, and so much more. Soulseed Gathering invited in connection straight from the heart space, epic growth and divine remembrance. Forever changed.
Along with photographing the essence of the gathering, I also had the great honor of sharing Sacred Self Love Sessions with eight women. Sacred Self Love Sessions are my hearts truest offering; they are intentional portrait sessions designed to hold space for the exploration of our Being. They invite us to express and play freely from the space of intimate connection with Self, and provide a powerful opportunity to dive deeply into the infinite waters of Self and lovingly bare witness to what unfolds. Together we get to celebrate the magic of each womans unique light, and have her radiance mirrored back to her through imagery for further soul exploration. Each session begins and ends with a Sacred Self Love ceremony and a guided, heart opening meditation.
It was such a gift to get to work with each of these women, who so honestly and vulnerably showed up for themselves. Forever grateful.
After the gathering, Hannah Faith, Minkie, Jo and I all took a five hour bus ride to Cartagena to explore the incredible city and spend as much time together as possible. We fall in love with each other and I’m so thankful to have gotten to spend a little longer connecting to their radiant hearts.
